The doctors and nurses working on mom have been considerate and clear and uplifting, and the volunteers who deal with the families have been fantastic. Several times last night mom and I woke up to find a nurse in the room, doing as much as she could as quietly as possible so as to not wake us up any longer than necessary. It was interrupted, but it was certainly better sleep than I have ever gotten at a hospital!
We all feel very lucky that such a fantastic cancer hospital is a short drive from their house and can accessed with all the comforts and supports of home.
Not that anyone doubted it, but MDAnderson has given top notch care so far and we are thrilled to be in such good hands.
(Not sure if she wants to say anything else- she feel back to sleep after directing me to write this post. Hehe)
